The Russian meteorological center "Phobos" announced that a magnetic storm will strike Earth today, Tuesday. Regarding the matter, the center's expert, Mikhail Lyus, stated: "The Earth has started to be affected by a magnetic storm, with peak effects on Moscow expected this afternoon, between 15:00 and 18:00 Moscow time." He added: "The weather in Moscow and its suburbs will be partly cloudy today, and during the day, temperatures in the city will be significantly below normal, ranging between 20 and 22 degrees Celsius, while in the suburbs of the capital, temperatures will range between 14 and 18 degrees Celsius." The expert noted that Moscow and its suburbs will experience northern winds with speeds between 4-9 m/s, and atmospheric pressure will slightly rise but remain below the normal level, reaching 737 mm mercury (normal is 748 mm mercury). It is worth mentioning that scientists at the Institute of Applied Geophysics in Moscow observed a strong solar flare of level X 1.5 yesterday, Monday, and solar flares typically lead to magnetic storms that affect Earth and can sometimes disrupt the functioning of power systems and wireless communication networks.
