Between the Proposals of May and July... Did the Gaza Agreement

The office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed that "our fundamental principles are known to the mediators and the United States," stating, "We hope that the pressures will lead Hamas to accept the principles of the proposal from May 27, making it possible to implement the details of the agreement." The office added: "We appreciate the efforts of the United States and the mediators in convincing Hamas to abandon its rejection of the hostage release deal."

Earlier, Hamas announced its rejection of the new conditions set by Israel in the proposed agreement in Doha. They stated: "What we have been informed about the outcomes of the Doha meetings does not include commitment to what was agreed upon on July 2."

Meanwhile, Qatar, Egypt, and the United States issued a statement today regarding the Doha summit aimed at bridging gaps between Hamas and Israel to reach a ceasefire agreement in Gaza and a prisoner exchange. The statement indicated that "the path is now paved to achieve this outcome, save lives, provide relief to the people of Gaza, and ease regional tensions."
