Contracted Teachers: No Voice Above the Voice of Truth

The "Effective Committee of Contracted Teachers" in official basic education organized a two-day union working retreat at the "Padova" hotel, in cooperation with the Friedrich Foundation. This retreat follows the completion of regional workshops to observe, gather, and unify the vision of contracted teachers. The retreat concluded with the establishment of a plan of action for an educational union campaign aimed at securing the rights of contracted teachers and benefiting public schools in Lebanon. The workshop ended with necessary recommendations that will be announced soon. The committee stated in a statement that "years of struggle, with many milestones filled with actions, challenges, and achievements, will leave an educational union mark that we will create, where every free teacher believes in it, to keep official education thriving, and the independent unions that are our path to build democratic and independent nations, as well as to secure social justice in abundance. For all who believe that no voice rises above the voice of truth, stay tuned."
