The Lebanese Taekwondo Federation in Harash Tabat hosted a meeting that included Federation President Dr. Habib Zreifa, Federation member and accountant Grandmaster Eli Naimeh, and Chairman of the Demonstration and Technical Breaking Committee Grandmaster Fadi Nabulski, alongside a representative from the World Taekwondo Organization "Kukkiwon," headed by Lee Baek Un, along with several organization officials.
At the beginning of the meeting, Zreifa welcomed the delegation and provided a detailed presentation of the local and international achievements and activities of the federation since he assumed leadership of the sport in November 2016, as well as the administrative and technical working methods of the federation and the positive results from external participations.
For his part, Un expressed his pleasure in being in Lebanon and praised the work of the Lebanese federation and its activities aimed at developing taekwondo in the Cedar country. Un extended an invitation to the Lebanese federation to send a Lebanese delegation to participate in the "Breaking and Hamadan" championship to be held in South Korea.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Zreifa presented his esteemed guest with a copy of the results of the promotion exams for the male and female athletes. In return, Un presented a valuable book on the history of the "Kukkiwon" organization, which was established fifty years ago.
Additionally, the "Kukkiwon" team will present an exciting demonstration during the official opening ceremony of the Asian Championship, which will take place at 5 PM on Sunday, September 3, at the "Nihad Nwafel Complex" (Zouk Mikael). This continental championship is under the patronage of the Lebanese Armed Forces Commander, General Joseph Aoun.
It is worth noting that the Lebanese Taekwondo Federation signed a cooperation agreement with "Kukkiwon" several months ago, valid for one year and renewable, which includes opening a regional office in Lebanon to serve the Arab and Middle Eastern regions, marking a notable step by the organization following the significant successes of the Lebanese Taekwondo Federation, knowing that "Kukkiwon" is the largest reference for taekwondo in the world.
