The head of the Loyalty to the Resistance bloc, MP Mohammad Riad, affirmed after meeting former President Michel Aoun at his residence in Rabieh that the line of communication with Aoun is constant and has never been interrupted, nor will it ever be. He stated that this line provides reassurance to the Lebanese people of all sects and regions due to the historical coexistence and genuine partnership in addressing national issues and matters.
Riad pointed out that the visit was an opportunity to inform Aoun about the precise ground and objective conditions, away from the reciprocal accusations being exchanged. He said, "We have done what we can to strengthen national unity in facing the challenge of the Zionist enemy, which is currently perpetrating a massacre in Gaza. It is suspicious that some international voices have remained completely silent and have not assumed humanitarian responsibility in addressing such brutality exercised by the enemy in Gaza."
Riad emphasized that the Lebanese situation requires showing good intentions and a commitment to responsible dialogue among all segments and stakeholders regarding the country, in order to reach solutions to the main problems it faces.
