A turtle named "Solomon" caused train services in Britain to be disrupted after it escaped onto the railway tracks near Ascot in Berkshire, affecting four train services. Engineers captured the turtle and placed it on the next train, making arrangements to deliver it to a veterinarian. A spokesperson for the railway network in Sussex posted on X: "This weekend, there was an unusual intruder on the tracks in Ascot. A runaway turtle was seen moving quickly towards Bagshot." They added: "The team made the necessary arrangements to ensure that the next train to Ascot from Aldershot would stop to allow for her rescue and transfer to the station. We apologize for any inconvenience to passengers, and we are pleased that this story has a happy ending. We remind everyone that the railway is a dangerous facility." They stated: "We ask our neighbors alongside the railway line to ensure their fences are secure to prevent the intrusion of people or animals onto the train tracks." In this context, activists shared images of "Solomon" on social media, commenting on the disruption caused to train services.
