The Turkish and Saudi sides, at the conclusion of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's visit to Saudi Arabia, emphasized the importance of completing the procedures for activating the Saudi-Turkish Coordination Council and working on developing and implementing joint projects and initiatives within the framework of the council.
Both sides agreed on the importance of enhancing existing security cooperation and coordinating on topics of mutual interest, including combating crimes in all forms, strengthening cooperation in the fight against terrorism and violent extremism leading to terrorism and their financing, and exchanging information, expertise, and training to contribute to achieving security and stability in the two brotherly countries.
In a joint statement, both sides reiterated their commitment to continuing coordination and intensifying efforts aimed at preserving international peace and security. They also renewed their condemnation and denunciation of the deliberate insults to the Quran and emphasized the importance of joint efforts to promote the values of dialogue, tolerance, coexistence, and to reject hatred, extremism, and exclusion, and to prevent insults to all religions and sacred places.
**Yemen**
Regarding the Yemeni issue, both sides highlighted their full support for the UN and regional efforts to reach a comprehensive political solution to the Yemeni crisis. The Turkish side praised the Kingdom's numerous efforts and initiatives aimed at encouraging dialogue and reconciliation among Yemeni parties, as well as its role in facilitating the delivery of humanitarian aid to all areas of Yemen. Both sides affirmed their full support for the Presidential Leadership Council in the Republic of Yemen. They appreciated the UN efforts to enhance compliance with the ceasefire and stressed the importance of the Houthis engaging positively with international and UN efforts aimed at ending the Yemeni crisis and seriously addressing peace initiatives.
**Saudi Arabia and Iran**
According to the statement, the Turkish side welcomed the resumption of diplomatic relations between the Kingdom and Iran, expressing hope that this step would contribute to enhancing security and stability in the region while preserving the sovereignty of states and non-interference in their internal affairs. Both sides emphasized the importance of Iran's commitment to the peaceful nature of its nuclear program and its transparent cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency, as well as the significance of contributing efforts to conduct comprehensive negotiations involving regional countries that address sources of threats to regional and international security and peace.
The Saudi side expressed its appreciation and support for the development of relations between Turkey and their sisterly country, Egypt.
**Palestine**
The statement affirmed the necessity of intensifying efforts aimed at achieving comprehensive peace and a just settlement of the Palestinian issue based on the Arab Peace Initiative and relevant resolutions of international legitimacy, ensuring the Palestinian people’s right to establish their independent state.
**Sudan**
Concerning the situation in Sudan, the statement emphasized the importance of both conflicting parties' commitment to a permanent ceasefire and building on the Jeddah Declaration (the commitment to protect civilians in Sudan), in addition to other regional initiatives. Both sides urged the conflicting parties to commit to political dialogue to reach a sustainable solution to the conflict and take necessary measures to alleviate the suffering of the Sudanese people. They also affirmed that the resolution of the Sudanese crisis could be achieved through an effective internal political process that respects Sudan's sovereignty and unity and preserves Sudan's state institutions. Both sides stressed the need for increased international efforts supporting humanitarian responses in Sudan and the importance of alleviating the suffering of the Sudanese people.
**War in Ukraine**
Regarding the war in Ukraine, both sides emphasized the importance of ending the war through negotiations based on international law, prioritizing dialogue and diplomatic solutions, and making all possible efforts to de-escalate, contributing to the restoration of security and stability, and limiting the negative repercussions of this crisis. They praised the humanitarian assistance and initiatives provided by the brotherly countries to alleviate the suffering caused by the crisis. In this context, both sides confirmed the importance of the Black Sea Initiative, which plays a vital role in enhancing global food security and ensuring the stability of food prices and supply chains.
