A Spanish newspaper report revealed that Barcelona's management hopes that a duo from the Catalan club will leave before the end of the current summer transfer window. "Mundo Deportivo" stated: "Given the clear need to raise funds at Barcelona, the club doesn't hide that they would be very lucky if either Raphinha or Ilkay Gundogan accepted any of the substantial offers that came from Saudi Arabia."
It added: "Raphinha (27 years old) and Gundogan (33 years old) are not considered key pillars in Hans Flick's project, in addition to the fact that they might be about to sign their last major contracts in their careers."
Barcelona received a significant offer of 65 million euros from a Saudi club for Raphinha three weeks ago, but this did not persuade the Brazilian player to accept a transfer. As for Gundogan, he has received offers from Saudi Arabia and Turkey, but he stated last week that he does not intend to leave Barcelona.
It is noteworthy that Gundogan has mentioned several times that Galatasaray is his childhood team and that he wishes to wear its jersey one day.
