German Chancellor Olaf Scholz announced that Germany will continue to provide assistance to Ukraine and will remain its largest supporter in Europe. In a post on the social media platform "X" on Monday, Scholz stated, "Germany is and will remain the country that is the largest supporter of Ukraine in Europe." He added, "We will continue support through the 50 billion euro loan we initiated within the G7." He mentioned that "thanks to this, Ukraine can purchase weapons in large quantities." Notably, Germany is considered the second-largest supporter of Ukraine in the world, in terms of the volume of weapons and equipment supplied to Kyiv, after the United States. So far, the value of assistance Germany has provided to Ukraine and committed to provide amounts to approximately 28 billion euros. According to the defense agreement between Berlin and Kyiv, Germany will allocate 4 billion euros to support Ukraine in 2025.
