Former President of the Progressive Socialist Party Walid Jumblatt stated during his participation in receiving condolences for the party leader Fouad Shokr at the Sayyid al-Shuhada Complex in the southern suburb of Beirut: "We are here to show solidarity with all those fighting against Israel and confronting Israeli aggression, whether in Lebanon, Gaza, the West Bank, or everywhere." Jumblatt added, "This is the least we can do, and we are united from the south to the mountain to the suburb and everywhere."
On another note, the Secretary of the Democratic Meeting parliamentary bloc in Lebanon, MP Hadi Abu al-Hassan, affirmed during his participation in receiving congratulations and condolences for the martyrdom of the great jihadist leader Mr. Fouad Shokr at the Sayyid al-Shuhada Complex that "the stance is unified and the blood is the same from the West Bank to Southern Lebanon, and the enemy is also one." MP Hadi Abu al-Hassan pointed out that "the incident in Majdal Shams is now behind us, and the responsibility for it lies with the 'Israeli' enemy," adding that "our position on it was expressed clearly and decisively by Walid Jumblatt in identifying the direction and approach to dealing with the incident."
