"High Readiness": Opening of the Burn Unit at "Nabih Berri Hospital"

The Chairman of the Board and General Director of Nabih Berri Government Hospital in Nabatieh, Dr. Hassan Wazni, inaugurated the burn unit amidst "the Israeli enemy's escalation of attacks on southern areas and its use of internationally banned phosphorous bombs." Wazni toured the unit accompanied by the medical director, Dr. Ali Tofeili, nursing director Rima Fran Za'tari, and emergency department head Inas Mustafa.

Wazni expressed gratitude to the medical and nursing team in the burn unit for taking on the challenge of treating burn injuries, especially under the difficult security conditions resulting from continuous Israeli aggression against our people, villages, and towns for more than 8 months. He emphasized that with the escalation and potential developments, particularly the enemy's use of internationally banned phosphorous bombs that cause severe burns, the Nabih Berri Hospital is prepared at every stage to serve its community in the south and all regions.

He announced the opening of the burn unit with high readiness and full specifications to receive all cases for treatment and to alleviate their suffering and pain. He noted that the nursing team in the unit received intensive training on managing burn cases both inside and outside the hospital and that they will be alongside our people and patients. He remarked that there are two hospitals in Lebanon: one in Beirut and the burn unit at Nabih Berri Government Hospital in Nabatieh, hoping this phase will end for our people and regions.

Wazni praised Berri for "supporting the hospital and all procedures for the benefit of serving our people," pointing out that "the unit includes 4 intensive care rooms and 2 beds for regular cases." He expressed hope for the opening of the Turkish hospital in Sidon, specialized in burns, to serve the community.
