The Lebanese swimming championship for age groups in the 50-meter pool, organized by the Lebanese Federation at the Olympic Pool of the Al-Rihab Club in Zahle, was another opportunity for the swimmers of "Pro Swim" and Al-Najah Club in Beirut to shine. It served as an additional occasion to showcase the tremendous efforts and intensive preparations they have undertaken in anticipation of these championships, resulting in “fruits” of titles, medals, and record-breaking performances. The champions of "Pro Swim" won 175 colored medals, 99 of which were gold, alongside 52 silver and 24 bronze medals.
In addition to the medals, the swimmers from Al-Najah broke five Lebanese records as follows:
- Pierre Chalita (12-13 years):
- 200m Butterfly: 2:28.94 min. (previous record 2:29.35 min by Ahmad Safi from Al-Najah Club).
- 800m Freestyle: 9:38.26 min. (previous record 9:43.91 min by Joud Bou Karam from Al-Najah Club).
- 1500m Freestyle: 18:14.77 min. (previous record 18:28.07 min by Joud Bou Karam from Al-Najah Club).
- Lana Hijazi (14-15 years):
- 800m Freestyle: 9:19.86 min. (previous record 9:25.36 min by Gabriella El-Dweihi from Aquamarina Club).
- Elena Shaaban (10-11 years):
- 100m Butterfly: She broke a 29-year-old record held by Roula El-Haras from Al-Jazira Club, recording 1:17.07 min. (previous record 1:17.38 min).
These results reflect the confidence the club's administrative committee places in the technical and training staff, under the supervision of national coach Mohammad Saqr, as well as the support Pro Swim School provides, both technically and logistically, to the club's champions and swimmers to achieve the desired results.
Saqr asserts that these achievements have never been coincidental, but rather the result of efforts made by the technical team at the club and school, extending from previous results that have remained and will continue to be established in the records of Lebanese swimming championships.
Saqr stated that if he were to express gratitude, it would be to the coaches and the families of the champions who support their children through personal follow-ups during preparations and attendance at competitions. He specifically acknowledged the swimmers of "Pro Swim" and Al-Najah for their commitment to training and the results they have achieved, promising, as always, for more brilliance and success.
He also extended special thanks to Professor Bassam Badran, President of the Lebanese University, for providing the university's facilities, especially the pool, for the swimmers of "Pro Swim" and Al-Najah Club, as well as to coach Abdullah Ghatiss, fitness supervisor Abdullah Malik, administrative officer Hussein Nour al-Din, Dani Othman for mental training, and Rony Masleh responsible for physical therapy.
