The Erbil Asayish Directorate announced the arrest of a woman for abusing her daughter in Erbil Governorate. In a statement, the directorate said that "after a video of a woman abusing a small child circulated on social media, our teams conducted an investigation and found that the woman holds an Arab identity and is named (Z. W. M.), originally from Baghdad, residing in Erbil for work purposes."
It added that "by order of the Erbil Asayish investigation, the Asayish has arrested the woman." It noted that "the investigations revealed that the child is her daughter, four years old, and has been living with her since separating from her father some time ago."
