Suspicious Activities at the Southern Lebanese Border and Military Response

The Lebanese Army Command - Directorate of Guidance reported that a patrol from the Intelligence Directorate stopped a citizen (A.J.) and an Egyptian (M.R.) in the town of Mays al-Jabal - Bent Jbeil for suspicious activities within border towns that are subjected to shelling from the Israeli enemy. They were involved in stealing contents from homes and shops with others. A military handgun and six mobile phones were seized from them. Another patrol in the city of Sidon arrested a Palestinian (N.A.) for his involvement in the aforementioned thefts and for attempting to smuggle weapons, ammunition, and military equipment into the Ain al-Hilweh camp in collaboration with another Palestinian (M.H.), who was arrested on 12/8/2024. The seized items were handed over, and investigations with the detainees were initiated under the supervision of the relevant judiciary.
