Title: Will Harris's Stance Toward Netanyahu Differ from Biden's?

The Wall Street Journal reported that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu does not expect U.S. Vice President and Democratic candidate Kamala Harris to treat him the same way as current President Joe Biden. A Harris advisor told the newspaper that "Harris's relationship with Netanyahu will be completely different from that of Biden, who has repeatedly opposed the Israeli Prime Minister but, at the same time, has decades of experience dealing with him." According to the Wall Street Journal, citing a White House official, Harris will not build a relationship with the Israeli Prime Minister from scratch, as she has been present in almost every phone call between Biden and Netanyahu.

During her meeting with Netanyahu, Harris will try to convey her vision for a potential resolution to the conflict in Gaza while aiming to avoid opposing the Israeli Prime Minister. Harris's assistant indicated that she might tell Netanyahu during their meeting: "It's time to end the war for Israel's safety, to release all hostages, to end the suffering of Palestinian civilians in Gaza, and to allow the Palestinian people to enjoy their rights to dignity, freedom, and self-determination." Additionally, media reports have mentioned that the U.S. Vice President will hold discussions with Netanyahu during his visit to Washington following the upcoming meeting between the U.S. President and the Israeli Prime Minister.
