The administration of Al-Ahed Club convened to discuss the developments following the resignation of club president Tamim Suleiman. The following was issued from the meeting: After the president insisted on resigning, the Al-Ahed Club management extended their heartfelt thanks for all that he contributed during his tenure, during which numerous football achievements were accomplished in Lebanon and abroad, leading to Al-Ahed Club's ranking as the top team in West Asia in the Asian Football Confederation's monthly rankings. The resignation from the presidency of the club was accepted.
Attorney Zain Khalifa was elected as the club's president and congratulated on this election. Following the meeting, an extensive discussion took place between the former president Tamim Suleiman and the current president Zain Khalifa, during which Suleiman wished Khalifa success in his role, offering himself at the club's disposal. Khalifa expressed gratitude to Suleiman for all his contributions in the previous period, hoping that he would continue to be a supporter and pillar for Al-Ahed Club, which will continue to soar in the realm of Lebanese football.
