For his part, Assad confirmed that the two countries have exchanged support for eighty years and have remained committed to principles and dignity despite facing all forms of pressure and attempts to subjugate them and break their will, noting that Russia's steadfastness in its positions is now establishing a multipolar world.
In his message, Assad expressed heartfelt congratulations on behalf of himself and the Syrian people to the friendly Russian people, who have woven strong ties with the Syrian people over the decades, fostering mutual trust and understanding and creating a blend between both societies that has enriched bilateral relations.
