Controversial Statements: Algerian President Embarrasses Egypt (Video)

Social media erupted with a video of Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, in which he stated that "the Algerian army is ready to enter the Gaza Strip as soon as the borders between Egypt and Gaza are opened and to build three hospitals within 20 days." He emphasized that "his country will not abandon its support for Palestine." During a rally for his supporters in Constantine Province, Tebboune said, "We have what to do, and the army is ready as soon as the Rafah crossing between Egypt and the strip is reopened." He also confirmed his country's readiness "to send hundreds of doctors to Gaza and help rebuild what Israel has destroyed," stressing rejection of Israel's efforts "to resolve the Palestinian issue by eliminating the Palestinians." Some described these statements as "dangerous" and "unprecedented," while others said it "embarrassed Egypt." Meanwhile, others remarked that they were merely statements within the election campaign context.
