Ivanka Trump, daughter of former U.S. President Donald Trump, shared photos of herself in Israel alongside her husband Jared Kushner. The images showcased their visit to a settlement near the Gaza border. Ivanka and Kushner visited the Kfar Aza settlement, close to the Shujaiya neighborhood north of the Gaza Strip. During their visit to the settlement located between Netivot and Sderot, the couple heard the sounds of Israeli artillery and reached areas adjacent to the Gaza Strip, coming within one kilometer of Shujaiya, according to Israeli media.
She stated on her Instagram account: "I have heard heartbreaking stories from victims, families, and soldiers," adding, "My heart is filled with sorrow at witnessing the aftermath of the terrorist attack that occurred on October 7." She also mentioned, "Tonight and every night, I pray for the safe return of all hostages and for the healing of all the wounded."
Accompanying Ivanka and her husband was Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana, where they met with the remaining residents of the settlement after most had fled due to the Hamas attack. In this context, Israeli broadcasting authority reported that Ivanka and Kushner arrived in Tel Aviv on a flight from Miami. The official reason for the visit is still unknown, but it appears to be in line with other Hollywood figures who have recently visited Tel Aviv to show support for Israel in its war against Gaza.
