Russian Minister of Economic Development Maxim Reshetnikov revealed an increase in the flow of foreign tourists, especially from Gulf countries, to Russia, noting that tourism from 4 Arab countries has significantly increased. During a meeting with President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday, Reshetnikov stated that there is a growing demand for tourism services from foreigners, with the number of tourist trips in the first six months of this year rising to two million. The Russian Minister pointed out that citizens from Middle Eastern countries are actively visiting Russia, mentioning that "the number of tourists from Saudi Arabia has increased by 12 times, while it has risen about 6 times from Oman and Kuwait. From the UAE, it has increased by 4 times, and a similar increase has been seen from China." Last year, Russia launched an electronic visa for citizens of 55 countries, including Arab countries, in a step aimed at attracting more foreign tourists. Experts confirm that the strong political and economic relations between Russia and Arab countries have resulted in an increased flow of tourists from these countries, especially the Gulf states, to Russia, with Arab tourists now commonly seen in the capital city Moscow.
