Shooting and Murder Inside a Cafe in Koura

The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Division issued the following statement: "On the morning of 27-05-2024, in the area of Dehr El Ain, two masked individuals entered a cafe and vandalized it. When the security guard attempted to stop them, one of the assailants brandished a firearm at him and fired a shot, injuring the guard in the abdomen. He subsequently succumbed to his injuries. The assailants fled to an unknown location on a motorcycle of the brand 'Mint' with unspecified remaining details.

Immediately, the specialized units of the Information Branch began field and investigative procedures to uncover the circumstances of the incident and apprehend those involved. Through diligent follow-up, the branch determined that more than two individuals were involved in the cafe's vandalism, the shooting, and the guard's death. Through the intensive investigations and inquiries conducted, the identities of all involved were established:

- K. M. (born in 2002, Lebanese)

- B. K. (born in 2002, Lebanese)

- M. T. (born in 2006, Syrian)

- B. A. (born in 2005, Syrian)

On 28-05-2024, after careful surveillance, the division's patrols managed to carry out a simultaneous and precise operation, resulting in the arrest of the first three individuals in the area of the port and the last in the area of Abi Samra on a green tuk-tuk, which was seized. During their search, their mobile phones were confiscated."
