The Palestinian Joint Action Committee in the Sidon area held a meeting inside the "Ain al-Hilweh" camp, attended by representatives from national and Islamic forces, along with the commander of the Joint Security Force, Maj. Gen. Mahmoud al-Ajuri. The meeting focused on the security situation in the camp. It was decided to deploy elements from the "Joint Security Force" at two points within the camp to solidify the ceasefire and prevent friction. The first location is in the al-Tireh neighborhood – the upper street (near the Zidan family), and the second near the al-Burak central – the al-Quds intersect, leaving the timing of the deployment to Maj. Gen. al-Ajuri, expected within the next 48 hours.
According to reports, the evacuation of UNRWA schools was discussed along with the deployment of forces at different points, with further discussions to take place in another session for additional study and consultation.
