The Army Command issued the following statement: "A tripartite meeting was held in Naqoura, chaired by the Force Commander of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), Major General Aroldo Latharo, with the attendance of a delegation of Lebanese Army officers led by the Lebanese government's coordinator with the UN forces, Brigadier General Munir Shehada, to discuss the 13 retained points considered a breach, without reaching an agreement. It was decided that communications and meetings would continue under the auspices of the United Nations." The Army Command also denies the validity of circulating information regarding the conclusion of any agreement in this regard.

UNIFIL Spokesperson Andrea Tenenti stated that "the head of the UNIFIL mission and its Force Commander, Major General Aroldo Latharo, chaired a tripartite meeting yesterday with senior officers from the Lebanese Armed Forces and the Israeli Army at a UN site in Ras Naqoura." In a statement to the National News Agency, he pointed out that "the discussions taking place during the tripartite meetings are confidential, noting that today's media reports contain speculation that do not accurately reflect the discussions that occurred." Tenenti continued, "Such reports based on unverified rumors can jeopardize the progress made so far in reducing tensions and advancing discussions on unresolved issues along the Blue Line." He stressed the importance of continuing discussions under UNIFIL’s auspices with the ultimate goal of addressing all issues along the Blue Line.
