Army Commander General Joseph Aoun laid the foundation stone for a barracks belonging to the Rangers Regiment in the Marah al-Dichar area of Metn, in the presence of MP Michel Daher and several local dignitaries and businessmen who will finance the construction of the barracks, and Mr. Emil Aql, who provided the land designated for it. The barracks is located on the Bikfaya-Zahle road and will serve as a source of reassurance for the locals and users of the mentioned road.
General Aoun also laid the foundation stone for the Officers' Club in the Bekaa region, with the presence of former MP Cesar Mahlouf and Mr. Ghassan Saliba, who provided the land for the club's establishment. The Army Commander confirmed that the continuation and resilience of the military institution are due to the belief of its soldiers in their country, their cause, the sanctity of their mission, and their readiness to sacrifice despite difficult circumstances, as well as the trust and love of the Lebanese both inside and outside the country, who hasten to support it with all available means.
Afterward, the Army Commander inaugurated the Riyaq Officers' Club following the expansion of its sections and the modernization of its equipment.
Additionally, the commander of the Hamat Air Base, Colonel Pilot Michel Al-Amouri, handed a letter of thanks and gratitude signed by Army Commander General Joseph Aoun to the president of the Mari Association for Charitable Works, Khalil Mari, and the honorary president of the association, Mari Mari, following their field tour at the base's headquarters in Hamat.
