The U.S. Central Command announced today, Tuesday, that its forces successfully destroyed a number of Houthi drones in the last 24 hours. According to a statement from Central Command, "In the past 24 hours, U.S. Central Command forces succeeded in destroying three drones belonging to Iran-backed Houthis over the Gulf of Aden." The statement added, "The forces also destroyed a Houthi drone in an area they control in Yemen." Furthermore, it stated, "We also destroyed a maritime drone and an anti-ship ballistic missile in the Red Sea." The statement concluded by saying that these weapons "posed a clear and imminent threat to the United States, coalition forces, and commercial shipping in the region. This reckless and dangerous behavior by Iran-backed Houthis continues to threaten regional stability and security."
