A state of sorrow has engulfed the residents of Port Said Governorate in Egypt following the death of a young man, a plumber, just hours before his wedding. The young man, Mahmoud Ahmed Mahmoud Matroud, known as "Mohamed El-Saroukh," 28 years old, died in Port Said after suffering from an electrical shock shortly before his wedding ceremony.
The young man was brought to Al-Salam Hospital in Port Said in critical condition due to the electric shock. Despite medical efforts, he passed away within the hospital. His body has been transferred to the morgue under the jurisdiction of the public prosecutor for investigation and authorization for burial.
Eyewitnesses reported that the victim was preparing for his wedding today, stating that he was performing some electrical work in his apartment. Friends of the young man expressed their condolences on social media, noting that his funeral turned into a wedding parade, as he had always urged them not to mourn. He was reportedly happy about the wedding but had a sense that something might happen, according to Egyptian media reports.
