Swiss national team goalkeeper Yann Sommer (35 years old) announced his international retirement today, concluding a 12-year career with the national team. Sommer played 94 matches for his country since his debut in 2012. He helped the Swiss team reach the quarter-finals of the European Championship last month before losing to the runner-up, England, in a penalty shootout.
