"Security Forces" Reveal Details of Aley Crime: Her Marital Infidelity Made Her Kill Her Husband in Cold Blood

The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued a statement today, Monday, saying: "On August 26, 2023, a citizen reported that his son, F.A. (born in 1976, Lebanese), left his home in the Al-Basatin area of Aley around 21:00 on August 20, 2023, and has not returned since. Following this, orders were given to the Information Branch to initiate inquiry measures and technical procedures to uncover his fate.

As a result of the investigation carried out by the branch patrols in Al-Basatin, and after questioning the wife of the missing person, L.N.D. (born in 1980, Lebanese), regarding the information she had, she stated that on the night of August 20, 2023, an unknown person arrived in an unidentified vehicle and left with her husband to an unknown location, and she believes he went to Syria. She did not file a complaint, as he had previously been absent from home for several days in the same manner. He had contacted her multiple times via WhatsApp, informing her that he was fine.

Consequently, the specialized units in the branch began analyzing the information provided by the missing man's wife. It became evident that the geographic location of her husband's phone remained in the Al-Basatin area from August 20 to August 26, raising doubts about the information provided by the wife, especially since it was found through investigations that there were disputes between the missing person and his wife. Orders were issued to search the missing man's home and bring his wife in for questioning.

On September 8, 2023, a force from the Information Branch went to Al-Basatin and searched the missing man's home. During the inspection of the bedroom, it was found that the mattress was missing from the bed, and there were signs of a fire outside the home. Upon examining the vicinity of the house, metal remnants of the mattress were found, leading to the arrest of the wife and her transfer to the investigation center.

During the investigation, she initially denied any involvement in her husband's disappearance or any conflicts between them. After confronting her with evidence that indicated disputes due to her having an affair with a Syrian individual, and evidence showing she burned the mattress after her husband's disappearance, she confessed to being in a romantic relationship with F.A. (born in 1972, Syrian), who is a friend of her husband and resides in Bissuor. Following her husband's suspicion regarding this relationship, he prohibited her from contacting or meeting the latter, prompting her decision to get rid of him and kill him. To that end, she purchased poison of the type "Lanite" and began preparing for the murder after informing her lover of the plan, agreeing with him to carry out the crime.

On August 20, 2023, she executed the crime by administering a large quantity of poison in her husband's meal after luring him to eat "molokhia," his favorite dish. After confirming his death, she transported the body to the Ras al-Jabal area in Aley with her lover's assistance in her Mercedes vehicle. The next day, she burned the mattress due to the foul smell it emitted in the house, adding that she executed the crime alone, with her lover helping her transport the body to Aley.

Her statements were corroborated with technical findings and witness testimonies, and the body of the victim was found in the Ras al-Jabal area, confirmed to be his through DNA analysis. As a result of the follow-up on F.A. to apprehend him, it was found that he fled illegally to the Syrian territory via Ain Ata, and those involved in his smuggling were arrested. The body was handed over to its family, and legal action was taken against L.N.D. based on the judicial authority, and a search warrant was issued for F.A., with efforts continuing to apprehend him."
