MP Ashraf Rifi visited the town of Bqaa Safrin in the Doniah region. He headed to the municipality building and the outskirts where he delivered a speech, stating: "People vacation every year in Bqaa Safrin because there is real communication and a genuine connection between Tripoli and Bqaa Safrin and across the Doniah. We are honored today to visit our friend and brother, lawyer Bilal Zawd, and the mayor of Bqaa Safrin to say we are by your side, with you, were with you, and still are with you, continuing, with God's permission, to protect our people, our regions, and our existence. We say Bqaa Safrin is the natural mountainous extension of Tripoli; this has been the case with our people, and we will continue in this direction. First, we congratulate you on your safety and the safety of the people of Bqaa Safrin. We have foiled an attempt at sedition in every sense of the word until the truth emerged; today, there are established facts. There are suspects and detainees currently. The entire plot has been uncovered, and we are always pleased with this neighborhood that God has created for us to maintain. I reiterate my gratitude to God for your safety, and we recognize your role as mayor and your role as a lawyer. You are the defender of the sword of truth in every sense of the word." The mayor had previously survived an assassination attempt.
