Former President Michel Aoun confirmed that "there is no division in the party, but some members have ambitions outside the party. This is what causes the officials to tell them to pursue their ambitions independently, without harnessing the party for their purposes, as the party has its own policies and is not for rent." He stated in an interview with "OTV": "There is sufficient continuity with the founders remaining in the party, who have never hesitated at any moment to do anything, especially today where those managing the party are sufficiently qualified."
Aoun added: "As long as discipline is maintained in the party, even if some have left or been left out, there is no danger to it. The danger arises when mistakes are allowed to accumulate." He continued: "As long as all matters within the party are discussed and supported by the overwhelming majority, we cannot follow an individual alone. He must accept that he is not right and adhere to the majority's opinion. It is not forbidden for him to speak, but this should be done within the meeting room, and what is discussed internally should remain internal."
Aoun pointed out that "in any human gathering, mistakes occur, and if procedures are not taken to prevent this, it will inevitably 'burst' and be driven by personal interests."
