Under the leadership of Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan, Saudi Arabia is participating with a high-level delegation in the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum 2024, which will be held in Davos, Switzerland, from January 15 to 19, under the theme "Building Trust." The Saudi delegation will discuss key current challenges and the importance of addressing them through enhancing international cooperation, supporting economic integration, ensuring resource sustainability, and leveraging innovation and technological solutions. Additionally, the delegation will explore the opportunities presented by emerging technology and its impact on the policymaking process in the international community.
The Saudi delegation will highlight the progress made under the Kingdom's Vision 2030, showcasing the transformation and development journey occurring across various fields and the investment opportunities available in several sectors aimed at achieving a prosperous, diverse economy open to collaborative opportunities. Given the Kingdom's high competitive capabilities, the Saudi delegation will share its experiences in enhancing competitiveness and promoting the Kingdom as a destination for private and foreign investment. It will also present the best solutions and practices developed by the Kingdom to enhance economic resilience and achieve financial sustainability in line with its aspirations for economic diversification and sustainable growth, in accordance with Vision 2030.
The 54th annual meeting of the World Economic Forum will explore ways to enhance cooperation between the public and private sectors to identify future opportunities and review solutions and developments across various economic and developmental sectors within the framework of international cooperation and joint efforts among different governments and institutions. The forum will bring together representatives from over 100 governments and major international organizations, along with more than 1,000 leading global private sector companies, as well as many representatives from civil society institutions, academic institutions, and think tanks. The choice of this year's theme, "Building Trust," emphasizes the importance of international collaboration in addressing humanitarian, climatic, social, and economic challenges.
