The General Command of the Army and Armed Forces in Syria has issued an administrative order to terminate the call-up of reserve officers, non-commissioned officers, and reserve personnel. The official Syrian news agency "SANA" reported a statement from the Ministry of Defense that the decision to end the call-up is applied as follows:
1. The call-up for reserve officers summoned for service is terminated starting from September 1, 2024, for those who have completed one year or more of actual reserve service by August 31, 2024, inclusive.
2. The retention and call-up for non-commissioned officers and reserve personnel (those retained and summoned) are terminated as of September 1, 2024, for those who have completed five and a half years or more of actual reserve service by August 31, 2024, inclusive.
3. The retention and call-up for non-commissioned officers and reserve personnel (those retained and summoned) are terminated as of September 1, 2024, for those who have reached the age of 38 and have completed two years or more of actual reserve service by August 31, 2024, inclusive, with discharge later for those who will reach the age of 38 and complete two years of actual reserve service.
