The head of Hamas's political bureau, Ismail Haniyeh, announced that they have "informed all parties that contacted us about enemy prisoners held by the resistance that this issue will not be addressed until the end of the battle, and it will only be at a price acceptable to the resistance." Haniyeh emphasized that "the Battle of the Al-Aqsa Deluge is a battle of Palestinian decision and execution, which does not diminish our conviction of the necessity for participation and involvement in this battle by all members of our nation, foremost among them the resistance forces." He stated: "Our Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip are proving once again that they are on par with the Battle of the Al-Aqsa Deluge, which has launched a phase of liberation, demonstrating their ability to endure and challenge, and their readiness to sacrifice precious resources for their freedom and dignity. They have thwarted the enemy's plans to separate the people from their brave resistance." He added: "The destruction and brutality exercised by the fascist entity's government against our heroic people in Gaza reflect the resounding results caused by the Al-Qassam strikes and the resistance factions since the Battle of the Al-Aqsa Deluge began, and all that the enemy is doing will not erase the shame of the defeat it has suffered, and the enemy will pay a heavy price for its crimes and terrorism."
