The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Department issued the following statement: "As part of the work carried out by the Internal Security Forces to pursue and arrest networks that promote drug trafficking and facilitate prostitution within the city of Beirut, information was received by the Beirut Investigative Unit regarding the mastermind of one of these networks distributing girls on the streets and providing them with forged identities to promote drugs and facilitate these activities.
Following that, orders were given to the mentioned unit to conduct their investigative and field procedures to identify and arrest those involved. As a result of intensive investigations, the unit was able to identify the mastermind of this gang, named K. B. (born in 1995, Lebanese), who had an arrest warrant against him for theft.
On 26-9-2023, after careful surveillance, one of the patrols managed to arrest him in the Raouche area, along with S. S. (born in 1999, Lebanese), in a public vehicle, and a quantity of drugs including Captagon and hashish, along with a copy of a forged identity was confiscated from them.
During the investigation, they confessed to the accusations against them, and K. B. confirmed that he had deployed two girls in Raouche for the purpose of promoting drugs and facilitating prostitution. Consequently, the two girls were pursued and arrested in the mentioned location, and it was found that they were:
- A. B. P. (born in 1995, Syrian)
- M. A. (born in 1997, Syrian)
Upon searching them, 19 Captagon pills, and two different identities they used while moving around were found. During the investigation, they confessed to the accusations and stated that they were working for K. B., who had been previously arrested. They indicated that there was a person nicknamed "Ali the Taxi" who was responsible for taking them and placing them on the streets.
Following that, through intensive investigations, the patrol was able to reveal the identity of the individual nicknamed "Ali the Taxi" and arrested him in Hamra. His name is K. M. G. (born in 1997, Syrian). Upon searching him and the vehicle he was in, a quantity of cannabis and Captagon, a six-inch knife, and six mobile phones were seized. They were placed with the confiscated items at the concerned unit to take the necessary legal measures against them based on the directive of the competent judiciary."
