Iranian Ambassador in Lebanon: Israel's Opportunities to Expand the War Are

Iranian Ambassador to Lebanon, Mojtaba Amani, commented on Saturday evening regarding Israel's accusation that Hezbollah and, by extension, Iran were behind the missile attack on the town of Majdal Shams in the Golan. Hezbollah denied responsibility for the attack, which resulted in the highest number of casualties in both Israel and the territories it has occupied since the onset of the Gaza conflict.

In a post on his official account on "X", Iranian Ambassador Mojtaba Amani stated: "Regardless of the theatrical performance staged by the Zionist regime a few hours ago, the 'three no’s' continue to encapsulate our position regarding the threats of war expansion on Lebanon and the region."

He elaborated on these "three no’s": "Firstly, 'we do not expect' it to be launched and we consider the chances for it to be very slim due to the imposed power equations. Secondly, 'we do not want' it, as the Islamic Republic always seeks to mitigate tensions in the region." He concluded his post by saying: "Thirdly, 'we do not fear' it in every sense of the word, and our enemies can imagine what we can do with our strength and capacity and defense of the resistance," as reported by the Lebanese National News Agency.
