Zelensky: Russia Used a North Korean Missile in Bloody Attack on Kyiv

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reported on Sunday that Russian forces likely used a North Korean missile in an overnight airstrike on the Kyiv region, resulting in the deaths of a father and his four-year-old son. Zelensky wrote on social media: "According to preliminary information, the Russians used a North Korean missile in this attack - another deliberate terrorist strike against Ukraine." He added: "Explosives experts are still working to determine the precise details of this missile."

On another note, the Ukrainian Air Force announced today that it had destroyed 53 out of 57 attacking drones launched by Russia during the airstrike last night. The drones were destroyed across various parts of Ukraine during the attack, which the Air Force stated included the use of four missiles made in North Korea. On Saturday, President Zelensky acknowledged for the first time that Ukrainian forces are engaged in combat as part of a surprise attack in the Russian Kursk region, while authorities rushed to evacuate civilians amid ongoing attacks on the border area.
