The spokesman for Al-Qassam Brigades, Abu Ubaida, stated that "our people continue to be subjected to aggression and genocide as punishment for their adherence to their land." He emphasized that the Al-Aqsa Flood was not the beginning of our resistance to the occupation's aggression but rather an explosion against the enemy's crimes. In a video statement at the start of the ninth month of the war in the Gaza Strip, he noted that "the occupation's crimes have peaked with systematic cleansing and genocide in the West Bank, Jerusalem, and Gaza. Nevertheless, independent polls show how our people rally behind their resistance after months of aggression, and we are still fighting in Gaza without external support, while our people remain steadfast without food or medicine."
Abu Ubaida added: "Our fighters have been battling for nine months, breaking the enemy's army supported by the United States and Britain. The occupation army uses civilians as human shields, bombs homes, and violates hospitals, schools, mosques, and churches. The world has seen through the occupation's crimes in Gaza the fallacy of international organizations and the impotence of alleged human rights laws." He confirmed that "all of our twenty-four brigades, along with all resistance factions, have fought and broken the enemy throughout the sector; there is no place in Gaza for forces to take shelter in homes like thieves, nor for officers to hide behind armored vehicles."
He continued: "The battle in Rafah and what our fighters are achieving in Shujaiya and elsewhere is proof of the strength of our resistance and the enemy's failure and defeat. The enemy has received and continues to receive painful blows wherever it penetrates into the Gaza Strip." He stressed that the central axis of the sector, known as Netzarim, will become a hub of terror and killing, from which the enemy will emerge defeated, and the capacity of our fighters to combat and confront has grown stronger in light of the occupation's crimes and genocide.
Abu Ubaida emphasized that "the human capacities of Al-Qassam Brigades are in great shape, and during the war, we managed to recruit thousands of new fighters. There are thousands of fighters ready to confront the enemy whenever necessary, and we have enhanced our defensive capabilities to face the occupation in every part of our land."
He pointed out that "the absolute victory that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu speaks of means his personal victory and pleasing the rogues of his government. I say to the families of the prisoners in Gaza that the fate of your sons has become a pawn in Netanyahu's hands, who seeks to achieve a personal victory, and what has been revealed from intelligence documents regarding the occupation's failure on October 7 is just a fraction of what we will disclose later." He affirmed that "the ongoing escalation of resistance in the West Bank is a response and choice of our people in the face of systematic genocide."
