Anti-Tank Missiles Launched from Lebanon toward Israel

The border area at Ras al-Naqura is witnessing mutual gunfire and shelling. According to the "National News Agency," Hezbollah attacked Israeli positions in Jall al-Alam and Ras al-Naqura, while the Israeli army heavily shelled the area at the border in Naqura up to the town of Dhahira. Israeli army spokesperson Avichay Adraee indicated that, "Following reports of alarms in western Galilee, six shells were detected launched from Lebanon toward Israel, five of which fell in open areas while one shell was intercepted. Additionally, there were reports of an anti-tank missile targeting a military site and another site receiving light weapon fire without any injuries." He added, "IDF forces are currently attacking the sources of fire."

Later, Adraee reported that "approximately 20 rockets were detected launched from Lebanon toward Israeli territory." The Israeli army requested residents in the regions close to the Lebanese border to remain in shelters.

In a statement, Hezbollah’s military media announced that "Islamic Resistance fighters, this Thursday, October 19, 2023, attacked the Zionist al-Manara site with guided missiles, achieving a direct hit."

In another statement, the military media announced that "Islamic Resistance fighters attacked the following Israeli army sites: Jall al-Alam, the sea, Zar'it, the Shumera barracks, and a observation tower in Habd al-Bustan with direct and appropriate weapons, achieving accurate hits and destroying a quantity of its technical and logistical equipment."

The Al-Qassam Brigades announced that "30 rockets were launched from southern Lebanon toward the Galilee settlements, most notably Nahariya and Shlomi," with a building in Kiryat Shmona being reported hit. Israeli media stated that a rocket fell directly on a nine-story building in Kiryat Shmona.

The area of Mays al-Jabal is witnessing continued patrols from UNIFIL amid ongoing flights from Israeli reconnaissance aircraft. The Lebanese army found an empty rocket platform in the outskirts of the town of al-Mari in Hasbaya and is working to dismantle it.

Additionally, on Thursday morning, two anti-tank rockets were launched from Lebanon toward the settlement of al-Manara, located opposite the towns of Mays al-Jabal and Hula in southern Lebanon.

The Israeli army stated in a statement that "two anti-tank rockets were fired at the al-Manara area from Lebanon, and there were no injuries among army forces," announcing that they retaliated by shelling the source of the rocket launch. Israeli media reported "instructions for citizens near the border with Lebanon to head to fortified places."

Earlier, the Israeli army announced that it attacked Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon early Thursday morning. In this context, it was reported that Israeli warplanes raided areas north of Naqura, and the al-Awida hill in Kfar Kila, as well as areas between Halt and Kfar Shuba. The Israeli strike also targeted an empty site at al-Aziya hill in southern Lebanon, in addition to an open area around Kfar Shuba in the eastern sector of southern Lebanon.

It was previously reported that illuminating bombs were launched by Israeli army forces in the sky over Rmeish. Furthermore, the Israeli army announced on Wednesday evening, "We shelled Hezbollah’s infrastructure in response to an anti-tank missile fired in the Shushan area." Conversely, Hezbollah announced the deaths of two of its members in the Israeli shelling targeting villages in the south, namely Ali Muhammad Marmar “Murtada” and Taha Abbas Abbas “Ali al-Ridha” from the town of Aytarun in southern Lebanon.
