In Egypt... A Child Was Slaughtered and Dismembered to Open an Archaeological Tomb!

A horrific crime occurred in a village in Assiut Governorate, southern Egypt, where authorities discovered the body of a child who had been missing for several days, slaughtered at the neck and dismembered. Egyptian authorities received a report just days before Eid al-Adha about the disappearance of 6-year-old Mohamed Essam Abul-Wafa Maheran from the village of Al-Hamamiya in the Badari Center in Assiut. Following an extensive search and investigation, his body was found in an agricultural area, with his throat cut and limbs and other parts removed.

Investigations and witness statements, along with reviewing surveillance footage, revealed that the major suspect in the incident is the child's cousin, identified as "A.A," along with his children and others. They were arrested and confessed to slaughtering the child and offering him as a sacrifice to an archaeological tomb, as requested by "one of the sheikhs" involved in the excavation.

Investigations indicated that the suspects kidnapped the boy and ambushed him while he was playing in front of his father's house, then slaughtered him and dismembered his hands before throwing his body into a field. The suspects were apprehended, confessed to the crime, and the case has been referred to the prosecutor's office for further investigation.
