MP Imad al-Hout stated that "the resistance in Gaza has conducted an unprecedented qualitative operation that confirms this army, which claims to be invincible, is indeed susceptible to defeat, and that the occupation will eventually be eradicated." Al-Hout affirmed that "liberation requires sacrifices," wishing "a speedy recovery for the wounded and mercy for the martyrs." He noted that "the Palestinian people are ready for these sacrifices, but they expect us to stand by them; it is our duty to do everything we can to support the resilience of the Palestinian people."
Al-Hout emphasized that "the Islamic group is part of this Lebanese society that seeks to fulfill its duty, whether through financial donations or popular movements in all areas, or other activities." He pointed out that "the resistant work within the Islamic group is not new; it began with the Israeli invasion of Lebanon in 1982, when the group confronted this invasion and succeeded in liberating the city of Sidon at that time. The group's resistance work has continued to this day."
He affirmed that "the group's resistance is a conscious and wise resistance that considers national interest, and it is confined in its performance to the border strip; it is the resistance of the people of the land to defend their homes and lands." He revealed that "this resistance today sent a message to the enemy indicating that it remains committed to the same approach amidst the bombardment of Lebanese villages and the martyrdom of many of their residents." He confirmed that "Al-Fajr forces are prepared to defend Lebanon in light of the absence of a defensive strategy from the Lebanese state and the government's weak performance in protecting its citizens."
Al-Hout praised the visit of the Prime Minister and the Army Commander to the south and stressed the "role of the government and the Lebanese army in protecting citizens and reassuring them that the state is striving to stand by them." He wished for "the government to expedite the development of an emergency plan and provide more protection for citizens and Lebanese villages in the southern areas."
He considered that "the official Arab reality does not meet the required level," questioning, "What is the Arab world waiting for to enforce a ceasefire by force and allow assistance to enter Gaza?" He added, "On the level of popular Arab sentiment, the Palestinian cause has proven that it remains the compass of the peoples of this nation and is a top priority."
Regarding public opinion in the West, Al-Hout stated, "We must differentiate between two parties; one that fears for its colonial interests in our region and allies with the Zionist entity, and the other, the Western street, which largely rejects the crimes of the Israeli enemy."
