The Secretary-General of the High Relief Commission, Major General Mohammad Khair, stated during his visit to the Crisis and Disaster Management Cell in Nabatieh that, "Under the directives of Prime Minister Najib Mikati, we are conducting our southern tour to assess the situation of the displacement of residents from border towns to safer and more stable areas." He added, "From here, from the south, the region of resilience and defense of all Lebanon, I say that we must be united from the north to the Bekaa, to Beirut, to the south, and all of Lebanon. What affects one area or a Lebanese citizen in terms of harm or danger affects all of Lebanon and all Lebanese, and our fate is one." He pointed out that "support for the displaced will be provided according to the emergency plan established by the government, with total support from the Ministry of Finance in terms of funding and other resources." Khair emphasized "open communication with donors and organizations, and we will stand by our people with all the resources we have in cooperation with the South Council, based on the complete coordination between President Najib Mikati and Nabih Berri, so that our people can withstand in their land. I also say that we will stand by the families of the martyrs who gave their lives to protect their homeland, and we will address all the issues that hinder the process of supporting the displaced."
