Ogero has issued the following statement: "Ogero reaches out to citizens and residents in Lebanon to inform them of a matter of great importance regarding the current situation in Lebanon. As you know, there are discussions about a potential aggression against Lebanon. While we sincerely hope for a peaceful resolution, it is our duty to prepare for all possible scenarios to ensure the safety of our employees and the continuity of our services.
In this context, we present a transparent outline of the measures that the authority has begun to take to minimize potential service interruptions and the priorities we will adopt to support essential communication needs.
**Measures Taken:**
- **Enhanced Security Protocols:** We have implemented stringent security measures to protect our vital infrastructure and ensure uninterrupted service delivery.
- **Redundancy and Backup Systems:** We have strengthened our network with alternative systems and backups to reduce downtime in the event of any unforeseen emergencies.
- **Emergency Response Teams:** We have dedicated emergency response teams ready to handle any urgent issues that may arise.
- **Collaboration with Authorities:** We are working closely with local authorities and stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulations and safety guidelines and to receive guidance on necessary security measures.
**Service Interruption Possibility:**
While we are doing everything we can to maintain uninterrupted service, it is important to acknowledge that in the event of aggression, service disruptions may occur. This could be due to several factors including damage to infrastructure, inaccessibility, power outages, or safety and security considerations.
**Priority Services:**
In the event of service disruption, priority will be given to communication services related to emergency responders such as the Red Cross, Civil Defense, rescue teams, firefighting teams, medical facilities and hospitals, military and security institutions, and other entities concerned with the safety and security of the community.
**Maintaining Communication:**
Ogero urges citizens to follow official channels and take necessary precautions to ensure their safety. We encourage them to keep communication lines open with us as Ogero will become an integral part of the national emergency team and will act, if necessary, as a liaison between citizens and rescue teams. Our call center and digital support unit will strive to relay information to the relevant authorities, teams, and medical facilities.
Ogero understands the seriousness of this situation and its expected impacts on citizens' daily lives and assures them that it will do everything possible to support them during these potentially difficult times. We invite everyone to contact our customer service team at the email address thepeople@ogero.gov.lb or by calling 1515 for any questions or inquiries."
