A humorous scene appeared on the streets of Moscow, where a Saudi citizen was seen driving his personal car near the Red Square, with a picture of "Adel Imam" displayed on his vehicle. The Saudi tourist had affixed a sticker on the rear window of his car bearing the phrase: "Those who fear losses and profits... they will surely not change their place." Next to it was a portrait of Adel Imam from the movie "Alzheimer's," which had been re-screened in cinemas in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Bahrain for three days starting May 16, celebrating Adel Imam's 84th birthday, which falls on May 17.
It was discovered that the Saudi citizen often uses his personal car to travel across various countries, as several flags were displayed on the front of his car, including the Russian flag and the words "Moscow" and "Saudi Arabia."
Russian Minister of Economic Development Maxim Reshetnikov announced an increase in the influx of foreign tourists, particularly from Gulf countries, to Russia. The minister noted that the number of tourists from Saudi Arabia increased by 12 times, while it rose by about 6 times from Oman and Kuwait. For the UAE, the increase was 4 times, reflecting a similar trend from China.
Last year, Russia launched an e-visa program for citizens of 55 countries, including Arab nations, aimed at attracting more foreign tourists. Gulf tourists have focused on a key aspect in their social media comments about tourism in Russia: the sense of security, compared to some other countries.
