Nasrallah: The Southern Front Will Remain Pressuring

On the occasion of Martyr's Day, the Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, noted that "this day was chosen based on the great operation on 11-11-1982, which targeted the headquarters of the Israeli military governor in Tyre," emphasizing that "this operation remains the largest, greatest, and most important in the history of resistance and the struggle against the Israeli enemy." He pointed out that "the blood of the martyrs is what triumphed over the American-Israeli sword wielded against the peoples of our region."

He stated, "The aggression, war crimes, and brutality over a narrow space besieged and under bombardment since October 7 show no reverence for anything, and the strange aspect of this aggression’s crimes is the blatant and public attacks on hospitals under flimsy pretexts, with a large number of martyrs, most of whom are children and women. This reflects a spirit of limitless revenge and the nature of this entity."

Nasrallah asserted that "one of the main objectives that the enemy wants from this aggression is subjugation, the undermining of the will to demand legitimate rights, desperation regarding the option of steadfastness and resistance, and pushing towards a culture of surrender and saying that the cost of resistance and demanding rights is very high. Their goal is to tell the Palestinians through their crimes in Gaza to forget their land and holy places, and to tell the people of Lebanon to observe what is happening in Gaza, as it resisted and rebelled."

He pointed out that "the number of houses, martyrs, injuries, and those displaced from their homes has not deterred the Lebanese from their resistance. No, rather immediately following this war and destruction, resistance arose in its various factions," confirming that "the one who should despair is the Israeli, and from the remnants of martyrs in Gaza and Lebanon, generations of resistance will emerge, more faithful, stronger, and more determined to resist this occupation."

He clarified that "the enemy's targets are subjugation, not just of the people of Gaza but of both the Palestinian and Lebanese peoples." Nasrallah affirmed that "through these massacres, the enemy will not achieve its goal, and it will inflict many losses upon itself, as the reality of its brutality is becoming clear to many peoples in our region and the world."

He stressed that "the general stance in Lebanon that is in solidarity with Gaza, supportive and understanding, is helpful and strong, which makes the front strong and effective. The battlefield speaks and acts, and we come to explain the actions of the battlefield; we are in a battle of patience and endurance, gathering achievements, points, and time." He emphasized that "the southern front of Lebanon will remain a pressing front, and we have informed the Israeli enemy through an official statement that we will not allow harm to civilians."
