The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces announced in a statement today, Saturday, that "the legal procedures against them are underway based on judicial directives, and efforts continue to arrest all other involved individuals." As part of the ongoing follow-up conducted by the internal security forces to track down those involved in drug trafficking and promotion operations in various Lebanese regions, information was obtained by the special team in the Judicial Police Unit about a network active in promoting narcotics within the Mount Lebanon Governorate.
On July 10, 2024, as a result of thorough monitoring and surveillance operations, a force from this group set up a precise ambush in the Al-Jiyeh area, leading to the arrest of three individuals caught red-handed while they were promoting drugs in a Hyundai vehicle: T. L. (born in 1980, Palestinian), M. K. (born in 2002, Lebanese), and H. K. (born in 1998, Lebanese), a customer.
Upon searching them and the vehicle, a quantity of the following substances was found in their possession: crack cocaine, cocaine, marijuana, and hashish, in addition to cash obtained from the promotion operations and mobile phones. They were transferred along with the seized items to the relevant authority to take legal measures against them based on judicial directives, and efforts continue to apprehend all other individuals involved.
Members of the gang promoted prohibited substances in Mount Lebanon, and the special team in the Judicial Police Unit arrested 2 of them along with one of their clients while pursuing the others. #ISF #SecurityIsATrust — Internal Security Forces (@LebISF) July 20, 2024
