Abu Ubaida: Hamas Fighter Kills One of the Hostages

The military spokesperson for the Al-Qassam Brigades, Abu Ubaida, stated on Monday via his Telegram account: "In two separate incidents, two fighters assigned to guard enemy prisoners opened fire on a Zionist prisoner and killed him immediately." He continued: "In addition, two other prisoners were seriously injured, and attempts are underway to save their lives. The enemy government bears full responsibility for these massacres and the subsequent reactions that affect the lives of the Zionist prisoners. A committee has been formed to investigate the details, which will be announced later." Abu Ubaida's statement appears to serve as a message to the occupation state, indicating that Palestinian reactions from the "Shadow Unit" tasked with guarding occupied prisoners to Israeli massacres could spiral out of control, implicitly conveying: We can execute all your captives. In this context, the Israeli army commented: "We have no intelligence information to support Hamas's statement regarding the killing of a hostage and the injury of two others."
