The prominent Jaafari Mufti, Sheikh Ahmed Qablan, addressed those who advocate for a theory of peace in Lebanon, stating: "There is no peace with the Zionist brutality. We will not bury our heads in the sand, and we will not accept anything less than a thunderous retaliation against Zionist terrorism. Our regional interests are at the core of Lebanon’s sovereignty, and any presidential settlement is not guaranteed. The Speaker of the Parliament is the greatest constitutional guarantee for protecting the highest centers of state from international mercenary deals or undermining the covenant of shared living. War on the southern front is a strategic necessity for this region which is undergoing a transformation amid a war that targets the region's core and its sovereign interests. Prayer and sacredness that cannot defend themselves hold no value. God's balance is through justice and retribution, not through submission and surrender. A religion that accepts humiliation and degradation, dancing over corpses, is not a religion for God."
To the Arabs, Qablan added in a statement: "The game of the Arab servant to American-Zionist projects will burn the Arab lands. How weak the Arabs are in this vile equation! What Yemen is doing is a source of pride for the world, and Israel should await a thunderous response. After the Hodeidah strikes, nothing will be the same as before. The American and British fleets near Yemen are living through hellish moments every day, and they must benefit themselves before they can benefit Israel. For the defeated Israel, devastation, destruction, and calamities await."
