Traffic Management Authority: New Transactions Starting Next Tuesday

The Traffic Management Authority and the vehicle registration department announced in a statement that it will receive citizens on Tuesday and Thursday (November 21-23, 2023), and will process the following new transactions:

1. Beginning November 21, 2023, registration of imported used cars (according to a customs certificate) which must be presented or undergo inspection at the main center in Dekwaneh by making an appointment on the Authority's website tmo.gov.lb. At various locations (Zahle, Sidon, Tripoli, and Nabatieh), an inspection of private touristic cars will be organized according to the following schedule:

- Tuesdays for cars whose chassis number ends with 0, 1, 2, or 3

- Wednesdays for cars whose chassis number ends with 4, 5, or 6

- Thursdays for cars whose chassis number ends with 7, 8, or 9

2. Release of impounded touristic cars (by making a prior appointment at the Dekwaneh center on the Authority's website).

3. Impoundment of motorcycles.

4. Regarding public transport and buses: payment of annual vehicle fees, submission of ownership request for plates, obtaining forms (for social security or police station), and impoundment of public works vehicles (at the main center in Dekwaneh).

5. Regarding private transport and buses: release of impounded vehicles (at the main center in Dekwaneh).

Additionally, the department will continue to provide services offered by the Driving License Division (issuing replacement for lost or damaged licenses, renewing expired driving licenses, issuing international driving licenses (Dekwaneh), and obtaining a driving license form for abroad) through prior appointments at the main center in Dekwaneh and in various locations (Zahle, Sidon, Tripoli, and Nabatieh). This is in addition to continuing to provide services previously offered at all branches, which can be viewed in detail on the aforementioned Authority's website.
