The head of the "Loyalty to the Resistance" bloc, MP Mohammad Raed, during a memorial ceremony held by "Hezbollah" to commemorate the third day following the martyrdom of "the fighter on the path to Jerusalem," Ali Khalil Ali, in the Hussainiya of the town of Houmine al-Tahta, stated that "the criminal terrorist Zionist gang has donned the garb of armies. Those who practice genocide are not an army, but rather out-of-control gangs that have gone mad, expressing their brutality, savagery, and unworthiness to have a presence among humans." He added, "On the political level, there is no political horizon for the invasion of Gaza. Even the protectors of the Israeli enemy do not agree with the presence of Israeli soldiers in Gaza, nor with the appropriation of parts of Gaza, nor with the occupation of it. They rather want a political settlement that he has not accepted in the past and will not accept now or in the future. The Arab system is sitting by watching as if this confrontation does not concern them either closely or remotely, even though its outcomes will affect the entire Arab system."
He continued, "In what is happening, it is our right in Lebanon as a resistance and as a resisting people to take precautions, at a minimum, so that the madness of the enemy does not also affect our territory. This enemy must remain deterred, and the stick must be raised against it so that it does not think that we are weak, lenient, or forgiving. We believe that the resistance arena is a pivotal axis that affects one axis over another. Therefore, we express our deep solidarity in practical terms with Gaza and its people and its fighters, and the enemy will not dare to do what it faced from us in the past, believing that it has an open field before it. It cannot escape from the predicament it has found itself in due to its madness in Gaza and will not dare to turn it into an open war against us, for we have prepared everything necessary to confront it."
He added, "Do not be frightened, O people, by the escalation that is happening; this escalation is calculated until the enemy realizes that it has no escape from submitting to the will of the resistance in the Lebanese arena. We safeguard our security and defend our country, and we express solidarity with the sons of our cause, the cause of Jerusalem and Palestine, with calculated considerations that position our hand as the upper one."
He said, "On the general front, the issue of confrontation with the enemy's project has taken all the spotlight and attention to the extent that our internal issues and problems seem to have no serious place on the table, except for the impending demands linked to timelines, such as the vacuum that threatens us when the army leadership is devoid of a commander at the end of their term. We must fill this vacuum to maintain the stability of the leadership situation in this national institution that plays its national role in Lebanon. This stability is required to be preserved, hence we have presented all options that facilitate the selection of the appropriate choice to secure a stable leadership situation for the Lebanese army. We have not stopped at any point or period for the sake of this matter, but unfortunately, some minor sensitivities and competitions between certain parties are what disrupt and prolong the completion of this requirement. This does not make us forget at all that we have a fundamental entitlement that all other obligations depend on, which is the election of a president for the republic."
He concluded, "Now we live under a caretaker government and amid reconciliations and settlements to address some of our problems and internal matters, and this is not valid, especially if this country is exposed to the possibility of confrontation and aggression that targets it, its security, land, and people."
