Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir stated that if the war "stops, I will not be in the government," emphasizing that "reaching an agreement with Hamas is forbidden," according to "Russia Today." He added: "It is forbidden to reach an agreement with Hamas; we should only wage war against them. If the war stops, I will not be in the government." He continued: "How can the Prime Minister and the Minister of Defense understand without war that it's impossible to reach a settlement? We know what they want; they want to kill us."
He clarified that "the Prime Minister knew very well that if the war stopped, I would not be there. I said about Gaza that if there is no war, I will not be there, and the same applies in the north; we must have a war in the north. I am not speaking to the Prime Minister in a threatening language; we must fight a war because we do not make deals with Nazis."
Regarding his military service, Ben Gvir said: "I wanted to serve in the army, but they did not allow me; I saw heroes who told me I was not the chief of staff. It turned out that I was right and that you were all wrong."
